LRW Retains Forius Association Management Services

Minneapolis, MN, January 31, 2022 – The League of Railway Women (LRW) is excited to announce its new partnership with Forius Association Management Services, effective January 1, 2022.

“To manage our individual membership and corporate partnership growth plan for a sustainable and strategic focused future, and continue to provide opportunities to connect and cultivate women in rail and promote diversity in our industry, we need more support staff and additional expertise to help us,” said Amanda Trainor Patrick, LRW President.

After a competitive request for proposal process, LRW selected Forius Association Management Services (Forius AMS). The agreement provides staffing resources and support for executive, administrative and finance activities, including the oversight of these services by Forius AMS' Leslie Thomas, who will serve as LRW's Executive Director.

“Forius AMS is excited to use our extensive association management knowledge and experience to help LRW continue growing as an organization and advocating for women in the railroad industry,” Thomas said.

“The LRW Board of Directors and supporting committee members are representative of women across the rail industry,” said Sarah Grimmer Yurasko, LRW Vice President. “Each individual contributor volunteers their time to the furtherance of our organization and to the betterment of our industry. Bringing Forius AMS onboard provides the resources needed to wisely manage LRW as an organization into the future.”

LRW's contract with Forius AMS is for an initial two-year term until December 2024, with an opportunity for extension.
