Washington, DC, July 29, 2020 – The League of Railway Women (LRW) is pleased to accept nominations for the LRW Member of the Year award until September 4, 2020.For over two decades, this award has recognized a member of LRW who has made extraordinary contributions to the success of LRW and its mission to connect and cultivate women in rail.
Mallory Moran, Marketing Communications Manager, The Greenbrier Companies and 2019 Member of the Year said, “LRW is a fantastic organization and an asset to those new in the industry. I recommend joining to all of my female coworkers. I was thrilled and humbled to receive the 2019 LRW Member of the Year award. It was lovely that my contributions were noticed and appreciated. It's unique for industry awards to be given to newer members – it was an excellent experience for me.”
“We are grateful for the leadership and dedication our members provide to LRW and the rail industry as a whole,” said Amanda Trainor Patrick, LRW President. “One way we measure success is through member engagement. Our members volunteer their time and talents to support our education webinars, attend our LRW Annual Conference, serve on our board of directors, committees, the scholarship program and much more. This award gives LRW the opportunity to highlight their amazing work.”
