Washington, DC, March 29, 2021 – The League of Railway Women (LRW) Board of Directors has announced the postponement of its 2021 board elections until 2022.

Due to the extenuating circumstances and disruption caused by the pandemic and LRW's commitment to its valued membership, it is the intention that this deferment will best serve in successful execution of deliverables and enhancements throughout 2021.

"2020 was a unique and unprecedented year due to the COVID-19 pandemic," said Erica Sander, LRW Secretary. "This one-time exception is being granted to allow the Board and committee members to execute current and planned initiatives such as our career center, mentoring program, and educational sessions."

LRW continues to remain committed to cultivating women in rail. Members interested in the upcoming 2022 board seats are encouraged to contact elections@railwaywomen.org
