These team-building exercises have increased cross-functional and encourage employees to work well together, both inside and outside the office, while supporting worthy causes.
- Kristen Canfield - Tax Program Manager, Indurante & Associates, Inc.
Kristen Canfield is the Tax Program Manager for Indurante & Associates, Inc., the leading provider of rail car property tax services for owned and leased private rail car fleets. As early as 2001, when she started her career as an office clerk for Indurante, Kristen realized how much paperwork was involved in the rail car tax compliance arena and had ideas on ways to streamline, reduce, and organize the business. Through the years her skill and job responsibilities evolved providing her training and knowledge of both the analytic and executable work involved in handing this type of tax.
She is a part of the team that worked with developers to create Railmarx, a proprietary database system for private rail car fleets. A new application enhanced efficiency and required a wholesale change to reporting processes and filing procedures. She oversees the accounts, funds, and payments on behalf of their clients, as well as accumulating mileage data for state tax reporting. She assists with the review and completion of tax returns for over 30 states. Currently, with over 20 years’ experience in the property tax specialty area, Kristen is a recognized leader among peers and customers.
