Recognizing Exceptional Dedication to the League of Railway Women
The LRW Member of the Year Award honors an outstanding LRW member who goes above and beyond to support our mission: connecting, empowering, and advancing women throughout the rail industry. This award celebrates an individual whose active involvement, leadership, and volunteer spirit directly strengthen our organization and community.
Candidate Criteria
We are seeking nominations for an active LRW member in good standing who:
- Drives Member Engagement: Actively participates in LRW initiatives, events, committees, or mentorship programs to foster a welcoming, supportive network.
- Demonstrates Leadership: Leads by example, taking initiative to support LRW projects, educational programming, or community outreach.
- Champions the Mission: Serves as a passionate ambassador for the League, helping to attract new members, retain existing ones, and elevate the organization’s visibility in the rail industry.
- Fosters Collaboration: Builds strong connections among members and embodies a spirit of teamwork, encouragement, and professional mentorship.
Nomination & Presentation Details
Nomination Period: August 3 – September 18, 2026
Nominate a Member of the Year
Award Presentation: The recipient will be recognized during our annual awards celebration.
Selection Process: Nominations are reviewed and evaluated by the LRW Awards Committee based on the nominee’s active contributions, volunteer service, and overall impact on the LRW community.
