Virtual Member Meetup Series
Connect. Share. Lead.
At the League of Railway Women (LRW), our strength lies in our community. While our in-person events bring us together regionally, our Virtual Member Meetups offer a flexible, welcoming space for members across the globe to connect, collaborate, and grow—no matter where your tracks take you.
What Are Virtual Member Meetups?
LRW Virtual Meetups are interactive, online gatherings designed to foster meaningful conversations, professional development, and networking among women and allies in the rail industry. Whether you're looking to share industry insights, discuss career milestones, or simply unwind with peers, these sessions are built by our members, for our members.
- Casual Networking: Meet fellow members across different sectors of the rail industry.
- Focused Discussions: Dive into trending industry topics, leadership strategies, and career navigation.
- A Supportive Space: Ask questions, seek advice, and celebrate achievements in an inclusive environment.
Shape the Future of Our Meetups: Host or Suggest a Topic!
As we look toward the second half of the year, we want to hear from YOU! Our meetups thrive on fresh perspectives, varied experience levels, and diverse voices.
We are currently seeking volunteers and ideas for our upcoming virtual sessions. Hosting a meetup is a fantastic, low-pressure way to build your leadership profile, expand your professional network, and give back to the LRW community.
Ways You Can Get Involved:
- Host a Casual Chat: Facilitate an open-forum networking coffee hour or virtual happy hour.
- Lead a Discussion / Mini-Workshop: Share a presentation or lead a conversation on a topic you’re passionate about (e.g., career transitions, technical innovations, work-life integration, mentorship).
- Be a Co-Host / Moderator: Help manage Q&A, chat interactions, or breakout rooms alongside another member.
- Suggest a Topic: Have a topic or speaker in mind that you'd love to see? Let us know!
No prior presentation experience is required—our events committee will support you every step of the way with setup, tech, and promotion!
